Week 7 - the end of Easter

After being home alone for the week I travelled down with Ann and John on Friday night to see the girls who judging by the colour on them had all had a lovely week in the sun (well 3 out of 5 days which is about as good as it gets in Wales)

Sat outside with Amanda and chatted to Clive and Jane our neighbors briefly but without the gas heater it got cold pretty quickly on Friday so we retired inside fairly early, had a quiet night and a lovely Spag Bol which Amanda had made for us.

The next day we all sort of went our own ways in the day. Ann and John went car booting and then over to the Teifi Marshes where an Osprey was spotted for the first time by any of us and even rarer Ann returned to the van without any glass bottles, lamps or tat of any kind whatsoever.

Wifey and I then went for a walk to the watchtower above Newquay and for about an hour just sat and watched the dolphins playing in the sun in the water beneath us - everything was very cool and chilled indeed.

On the way back we stopped off in the Dolau for a few quick refreshments when Bronwyn and Bethan caught up with us in Newquay having walked accross from the caravan a little earlier. A quick bag of chips later and we were back at the caravan for the start of a long evening of intellectual chat, entertainment and fine Cuisine (apart from the disgusting burgers we bought from the camp shop)

Starting off the years firstBBQ at about 6 ish we eventually moved indoors when a few spots of rain were felt and then had a cheeze and port party until 2 in the morning when Ann - not being as energetic as in her youth - just had to go to bed and brought proceedings to a close.

Very refined it was too.

Seems strange but its bank holiday weekend again next week - Murphys are off to London for the day but hopefully will be in Newquay for the remainder of the weekend for a spot of caravan maintenance- tune in again next week folks to see how much fun we have with 20 metres of wood, various power tools and 16 cans of Fosters.
