Week 9 - Bird Nerds

It is Official Photographic proof that bird nerding is the new black in caravan land.

After leaving for the Caravan early Saturday moning and enjoying the fine cuisine of the Brecon Mobile breakfast van en route - we arrived at Newquay on Saturday morning to find that John had replaced half the veranda woodwork with new 'bits'

Running out of wood at the exact same moment as we touched down we decided to go to Cardigan and go for a walk around the Teiffi Marshes, which is always interseting but got caught in numerous showers which we managed to mostly avoid in the many bird nerding huts and eventually made our way back to Quay West.

Ann not one to be daunted by the weather got the BBQ going at exactly the right time as the weather turned for the better and normal caravan veranda sports resumed with a taste of BBQ conversation to come, this time predominantly the disgusting 63 year old psycho soon to be mother again Doctor which had dominated the headlines of the weekend.

Suitably culturally fulfilled, everyone retired to bed to see what the next day would bring.

A trip to Cors Caron we thought to ease into our summer expeditions although I think we may have overdone things as I ached all over the next day - it was nice aswel as Bronwyn came along whilst Bethan revized her schoolwork back at the van. The girls getting older I suppose are not always the most willing accomplices on expeditions of this nature but Bronwyn did seem to enjoy herself which was nice.
After returning to the van Ann pulled together a lovely mixed grill / salad / potatoe thing which we all wolfed down gratefully before starting the track back home and getting ready for the warmer days and long veranda sessions that lie ahead.
